Daniel ANIZON

Après un Doctorat d’Economie, part faire le tour du Monde pendant 3 ans (1973-1976).

Prix du Club photographique « Les 30×40 », Paris 1984.

Prix Ilford du jury Noir & Blanc, 1984.

Prix News aux Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles en 1984.

Prix Médicis Hors les Murs en 1987-88.

Nombreuses expositions en France (Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles 1985, Centre Culturel Canadien à Paris, Festival des 3 Continents à Nantes, Chroniques Nomades à Honfleur etc.), et à l’étranger, notamment à la galerie June Bateman à New-York, en Californie, au Canada, en Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique et Suisse.

Résidences d’artiste au Banff Center for Arts, Canada, en 1988 et à la Villa Montalvo, Californie, en 1999.

En tant que photographe indépendant, réalise de nombreux voyages en Europe du Nord, au Canada, aux Etats-Unis, en Russie, au Vietnam, au Sahara, dans les ex-pays de l’Est, et tout récemment au Japon.

Photographies figurant dans de nombreuses collections publiques (Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Paris, Artothèques d’Angers, de Nantes, Caen, Grenoble) et privées, tant en France qu’à l’étranger.

A été membre de l’agence Paysage(s) à Paris, et représenté par les Galeries Chambre avec vues, The Box in Paris et Brun Léglise à Paris, et par les Galeries June Bateman et SafeT à New-York.

 

After a doctor’s degree in Economics from Paris University, Daniel ANIZON spent three years (1973-1976) travelling around the world. Though he did not have a camera then, this experience led to a love for travelling that would eventually become an important part of his work as a photographer.

He received the “International News” Award at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie” in Arles, France, in 1984. In 1987, he received the “Villa Medicis Hors les Murs” Prize from the French Government, which allowed him to spend six winter months in Canada.

He was invited as an Artist in Residency at the Banff Center for Arts, Canada, in 1988, and later at the Villa Montalvo, California, in 1999.

As an independent photographer, travelled extensively in Northern Europe, Canada, USA, Russia, Vietnam, Eastern Europe, and more recently Japan.

Numerous exhibitions in Arles, France, Paris, New-York, California, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

His work is in a number of collections like Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Paris, and with private collectors in France and abroad.

Was a member of Agence Paysage(s) in Paris, and represented by Galerie Chambre avec vues, The Box in Paris and Galerie Brun Léglise in Paris, and by June Bateman Gallery and SafeT Gallery in New-York City.
